Now, after that work I was like uh kind of the slope of evolution of AI is is accelerating.
Uh this is twenty seventeen, and I wanna build products on top of it.
And so I left Google to start near AI with my co founder Alex Kidanov.
with a premise that we actually want to teach machines to code.
And so that's actually something I I've believed a long time that if machines can code, we're effectively changing how we're interacting with computing.
Right?
It's changing from, you know, few people can sorcer the code, you know, and te like talk to machines and then everybody else effectively, you know, need to consume their magic to everybody can effectively
do everything with a machine that normally only you know a few developers can do.
And so so we were trying to build that.
Back in twenty seventeen that sounded like science fiction.
Now it's just called vibe coding.
So we're trying to build vibe coding in twenty seventeen.
And the
kind of the expectation we had is what we've seen in two twenty twenty two, twenty three.
Like we thought that's what's gonna be happening in kind of the industry.
And as we know now, effectively we're lacking, you know, probably an order or a couple orders of magnitude of compute.
Uh now we were trying to be smarter, so what we tried to do is to get a lot more training data.
Now again it's called instruct fine-tuning data.
So we were trying to get um people to actually write a little bit piece of code for for some instructions or write instructions based on code.
