But I got this big long report from the HR and DEI office.
saying anytime I offended someone, I would uh be back in the star chamber, would create a hostile educational environment.
So I quit.
I said I couldn't work under these conditions.
And so I quit and I shall I've been been using this platform to shine a light on the rot in academia and especially in legal education.
I'm I'm for all of the above.
Uh, you know, we're not going to have reforms internally.
The leaders of these institutions have to be dragged, kicking, and screaming to do the right thing, not because it's the right thing, uh, but because it's in their interests.
And that includes the shocks from federal and state governments.
Uh, the Office of Civil Rights at Education should investigate and in conjunction with uh the Justice Department, uh, withhold funds from schools that uh violate students'.
Civil rights, whether in the context of free speech, anti-Semitism, or so many other things that these schools uh are doing that are improper.
State attorneys generals should investigate uh these places.
Employee private employers, uh, as they did after October 7th, uh writing law school deans saying, Why are you uh uh having a culture where Hamas supporters are flourishing?
All of these kinds of exogenous shocks, I think, are important.
And shining a light.
You know, just one option.
Top ed can as we're seeing now with Texas AM, for example, uh with their uh uh people of color only conference or whatever it is that they're that they're having.
Just shining a bit of a light uh makes it obvious that to mix metaphors, in some cases, these are uh Potemkin villages guarded by paper tigers.
