I remember the gossip amongst especially my family friends, but I personally wasn't directly involved in any big charity scams.

It's not really part of my lore.

So I wouldn't necessarily say that charity scams are a cult that I am a card-carrying member of.

I didn't realize that this was like the Anna Delvey of charity scandals.

I've learned to just never trust

anything I see advertised on television or take it at face value, but this is reaffirming that.
