This show, as those who've been listening for a while already know, is all about analyzing the ways cultishness shows up in every day.
life, to examine the ways in which we are all susceptible to cult influence, but also to compare how not all cults these days are created equal.
And of course, to have a laugh about it a lot.
Yeah, this is so fascinating because honestly, before today, I had never heard of Bellum Entertainment.
My relationship to reality TV is honestly very tangial.
I'm not a huge reality TV consumer.
I grew up watching Rock of Love and the Kardashians and some of like the vintage reality TV shows, but sort of teetered off during the rise of the Bravo era, even though I do feel.
feel like because I worked in media for a long time, I did have to keep my finger on the pulse of whatever was happening in the pop cultural zeitgeist.
So my relationship to the cult of reality TV in general is a lot more of one
I find that
People love to condescend towards industries or phenomena that are popularized primarily by women.
So I am a huge defender of reality TV, especially against anyone who tries to say it is trivial and mind-numbing and doesn't have any sort of social context.
