Actually, I went to a few, and then I ended up at Gordonstoun.
You know, plus c'est en vous, there is more in you than you know.
I thrived at Gordonstoun, funnily enough.
My cousin Amanda, actually, quite a bit older than me, she was one of the first girls.
And in fact, we had a family friend who was a governor of Gordonstoun.
And when Amanda went, when the girls were accepted, he resigned out of fury and disgust that girls had been allowed to Gordonstoun.
But, you know, it's on a cliff in the north of Scotland.
And in my day, it was quite robust.
Cold showers and girls had hairs on their legs.
And absolutely, as you can imagine.
In fact, I remember coming out of school and saying to my mother, I've got to get a job.
And she sort of said, really, darling?
I said, yes, mum, I need to get a job.
My father had a list of dukes in his desk drawer, of course, that I was going to marry.
And every time one of the dukes married someone else, my father crossly scratched them off the list.
