And I was just like, what next?
What next?
Well, when I looked at that, I was getting so frustrated.
I was working myself up.
And I was angry.
I will say I was angry.
Not at anything, just at the situation.
But when I was in the hospital bed after they figured out what medication and what type of meningitis this was, and I started to feel better and whatnot, I started to realize like being angry and it's not going to do anything.
It's not going to change anything.
So all I have is this moment and this moment forward.
And so I can take it and say, okay, this part of my French sucked.
But what things can I do to change how I look at it?
How can I frame it differently?
How can I learn from it?
And how do I take what I'm learning from it and continuing on?
And I think that's where resilience comes from.
People say, how are you so okay with this?
And which to me is resilience.
And I think it's because I'm able to take that and reflect on it and realize it is just a moment in time.
It does not have to be the rest of my life.
