Normally, I don't do regional theater anymore. I mean, I'm married. I have kids. I live in Los Angeles. But I just kept thinking, I can't turn down this part. I mean, this is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of a role. It's just an incredible story, part of history. So I felt like, if I still want to be an actor, I have to do this. And I love doing musicals. I don't get to do them as often.

They're long hours, but it's sort of relaxing, too, because you're going through everything slowly. So you're just on stage getting the lights done. It's kind of the quiet before the storm of actually performing the show, which is nerve wracking, too, because you're like, I still need to run these lines and go through the show.
