Every good idea affected off someone else.

You don't have to be an original thinker at all.

Not as much as maybe they should.

I still believe in an enterprise economy.

I believe in creating wealth before distributing it.

And I think there's actually two types of politicians.

Those who believe in

say Ireland Inc.

sets it apart from Germany, France, Spain, UK, we can't live off our own consumption.

We can only live off the goods and services we sell abroad.

And so therefore, competitiveness is really important and enterprise economy is really important.

And the wealth from that, like the 36 billion we're going to take in incorporation tax this year, pays for a decent health service, decent education, decent welfare.

But if you go the other way and say, oh, you have a million, let's take it off you through socialism.

I just don't believe that.

So because that will stifle enterprise and also it will send the most dynamic people to work elsewhere.

So therefore, those views have not changed.

What's changed is the way politicians operate.

So for me to get 8,000 votes, I would need to really have an intimate relationship with people on the ground, their families and all the rest of it.

Now they have followers on social media.

Mainstream media is probably f***ed.
