When I started in April 9 with Claire Byrne on The Breakfast Show, they were stuck on 58,000 ratings.

And so I said to myself, what's this area?

Difference.

How's the difference?

So we started the program with a riff.

So RTE journalists are forbidden to have an opinion.

They're journalists.

And I wasn't ever a journalist, didn't want to be a journalist.

So I would start with a polemic.

I'd say, this is what I think about the Israelis, or this is what I think about this particular transgender story, or whatever it might be.

And, you know, the lads would say to me, you don't have to be right, but you just have to provoke a reaction.

So that was the first.

Second thing, I, you know, so I could do an interview with the Taoiseach and I give a running commentary on how I thought he did just as he was going out the door.

Like, that was unheard of.

So, and I would, I would slag Chris Donoghue, I would slag anybody, slag myself.
