So it wasn't surprising that he did well at Louisiana State, but that I think he would be a championship coach at Louisiana State.

Not really, right?

I thought he'd shown he could win a championship, so I thought he could do it at Alabama, but did I think he'd be the next Bear Bryant at Alabama?

So this ability to live up to his own standard and maybe exceed what the rest of us thought was possible, I think, is a defining characteristic of it.
