It's one of the reasons that you've seen so much M&A activity, etc.
It's easy to borrow money at the time.
Or you can also, as a company, issue more bonds at a lower rate so you don't have to pay a high rate out in time in order to raise money.
So what the Fed does just has so many different effects on the economy.
It all comes back primarily into how they're going to affect rates and pressure to the upside or downside on rates.
Well, I think the biggest thing about global events, and we just saw this with Evergrande, and that's the biggest thing I think right now to keep your eye on.
One of the things we've seen in the past is when there's real estate crises, they don't end quickly.
You may not hear about it for a few weeks, but all of a sudden it's back in the news and affecting the market overall.
Let's not forget Brexit is still out there.
It was all the news when it first came out.
These kind of things have a way of coming back, so you can never put them fully off your radar.
But the biggest thing I would say that we've seen in the history of global events is, as Mike Tyson once said, it's the punch you don't see that knocks you out.
And it's usually the unexpected event that comes from something that causes the market to melt down.
In other words, it's very often difficult to prepare for them, but what it should make you do is be very disciplined in
in keeping an amount of risk out there that you are comfortable with, knowing that at any time we could have some sort of sell-off.
Thanks for having me, J.R.
It was a real pleasure.
