Well, this is the most important point of all, Don, and you put your finger right on it.
In America, all of the power resides in we, the people, under the Constitution of the United States.
We elect representatives, federal representatives in the Congress and then to the presidency,
exercise our power not their power in the interest of of the nation and so the our elected politicians think of it this way they literally have no power at all except the power that is derivative of we the people and so
In particular, in the article, I was referring to now the fact that the Congress, he has usurped Congress's power and Congress itself has willingly ceded its power to this president.
And the Supreme Court itself has at least acquiesced in
his wrongful seizure of power in America up to this point.
Therefore, there is no longer today the checks and balances on the president that the framers of our Constitution intended and provided for in the Constitution.
Well, to answer the specific question, yes.
The Congress of the United States could stop all of this in its tracks tomorrow.
But it's clearly not going to do that because it institutionally approves, or at least we have to assume that it approves, of everything that Donald Trump has done in the first 10 months of his presidency, beginning with the unlawful tariffs.
Tariffs are a tax that can be imposed only by the Congress of the United States.
and the deportations of American residences without due process of law.
Well, Congress clearly approves of what Congress has done with respect to tariffs, what the president has done with respect to tariffs and also the deportations.
And then, like I said, the Supreme Court could begin to limit the president, but by the time it does, Don,
the damage to America and the Constitution will have long been done.
