Jacoby Myers, they brought in mid-season.
It worked out so well that, oh, let's sign him for three more years.
Yeah, I thought that worked out real well.
That was a draft pick that was worth โ that was a total worth sending the draft picks away for him to be able to do that.
And I thought that James โ
did a really good job of talking about how you like to keep some draft picks into the future so that you can do those kind of things.
That's why you want to keep some capital, not necessarily trade some away, thinking, okay, well, let's move up in this year's draft.
Well, you know what?
You might need those picks.
to make mid-season improvements to your football team, just like you did with Jacoby.
And we saw the guaranteed contracts a couple segments ago that they've doled out over the last two years.
That doesn't include Trevor Lawrence, whose number continues to go up each and every year in the contract that he signed the extension before this group came in.
That's narrowing the pot.
So at some point, you've got to get some younger and cheaper talent in here.
And with Trevor, when that deal happened after โ
If you go back and you look at 23 and 24 and you go, I don't think that was a real good deal yet.
And then all of a sudden you look at the performance in 2-5, you're saying that's a pretty good deal.
That's a good way to go.

So you want that trajectory, okay, that continued path, and you've got to be excited about year two of being in the same system and having some consistency and scheme and coaches and the players that are around him and improved players around him.
