i think that happened yeah look it's it's all about um the values the cultures you know what aligns with our western values and what doesn't align and what comes to mind first and foremost is well women's rights i mean we're at it again we're really having to fight for our rights once more right i mean
there's a whole more behind that that we can discuss but you know when I think of extremist Islam and the rights of women and I've followed Ayaan Hirsi Ali for many many years because there are many similarities with much of what she's experienced to what I know Aboriginal women within traditional culture experience and so there are parallels with Islam and the fact that
Women are, you know, not as important as men, if you like.
And, you know, arranged marriages and those sorts of issues, particularly underage girls being married off in arranged marriages and those sorts of issues.
And again, you know, I'm vilified by the left when discussing the reality of what goes on in my part of the world, which I've lived and many of my female family members have lived.
But, you know...
Where are the feminists?
Where the hell are the raging feminists when it comes to ensuring that we're upholding the rights of women and girls when we choose to import individuals who view women and girls as less than men and their equal rights just don't exist in that regard?
But then it's not hard to see the way society has become in apologising for, not apologising, for simply accepting misogyny because we see it in Indigenous affairs.
We see it when it's come to Islamic extremists.
We see it now in our federal court.
You know, when it comes to Sal Grover's case.
And this is another battle, another battlefront that we have to fight hard on.
Precisely.
And I mean, how ironic is it that our only female prime minister, the one who accused Tony Abbott of misogyny, effectively legalised misogyny?
Yeah.
You know, misogyny just took a different form in this particular case.
And, you know, and that's another that's another issue.
That's something that we are going to fight before this next election comes around.
