Yes, yes. Before we start, I just want to be hard to talk about. I want to give you my condolences. It's Jesus. I mean, it's even choking me up right now. Yeah, I just want to let you know that me and my family have been praying for you.
Appreciate that really a lot and appreciate many Australians who've been, you know, held my niece in their prayers and my family in their prayers. Really appreciate it.
Yeah. Yeah, I didn't want to start like that, but yeah, I've... Yeah, I've literally been sitting on it all day and I just wanted to tell you that.

That whole issue is an issue that I – I suppose the very reason I decided to get into politics in the first place was to – have some really honest and serious conversations about what really goes on uh in remote communities and in places like Alice Springs and what affects my family directly in such horrible ways and um so yeah it's important I suppose it's important to to talk about these issues to get them out in the open yeah yeah well um yeah I think we'll just move on from that because uh
Yeah, like every single time I think about it, it absolutely destroys me. Given, you know, as well, I've just become a father and myself. So I take these things a little bit more serious these days. So, yeah, I just want to let you know that. But, I mean, one of the big topics I want to talk to you about is this budget that seems to be – It seems to be favouring every single person except the young Australians, which the government tell that it's for. And I mean, all I've heard is this campaign over the past five or six days saying this is for young Australians, young Australians. But I don't know about you. I don't think there's too many young Australians that were overly delighted with it.
No, I mean, I still I've still yet to see how, in fact, where this is supposed to support young Australians. I mean, it's destroying young Australians as far as I'm concerned. And and, you know, like this prime minister has lied to the Australian people. over and over and over again. There's been broken promises. There's been, you know, since they came into power in their first term, the promise of $275 off your power bill. Well, that sure as hell hasn't happened, but, you know, energy's increased by 40% and everyone's paying a hell of a lot more than $275 on their power bills. I don't like the way that this government pits various different cohorts against one another. What do you mean by that? Well, you know, the older generation against the younger generation.
you know, this sort of attack on those who have worked their whole lives to save, to invest in their retirement and their futures and their families and through family trusts, you know, through their superannuation, the various different taxes that are now just hitting Australians non-stop, but then suggesting that they're trying to create intergenerational, what is it, equality or whatever the hell they want to call it, but it's, I think it's
It's communism?
It's totally communism. It's big government. It's expecting the Australian people to work for the government as opposed to the government working to better the lives of Australians in this country. You know, young people aren't going to get ahead. Look, the thing is, right, this is something that In some ways, now Australians are waking up to the reality of this government, something that we've known, obviously, since they came to power. And Aussies have had to be hurt, really, really hurt by this government and can now see that these policies are continuing to hurt Australians going forward, for them to realise just how... how much they lie to the Australian people, how much they gaslight the Australian people, how much they don't really have a clear way forward for the Australian people in so many different policies, and I'll get to some of those.
