But he found himself in the right space for Demidov to get him the puck, and I think Wright is a better version of that.

And, you know, if you look at Seattle, their style of play and their lineup, it's just it's not a very compelling team.
They're not especially good at retaining possession of the puck, of using, you know, plays off the pass.
Wright's most frequent linemates this past season were Kapo Kako, who's a player that I think has sort of plateaued, and I was never especially a big fan of, and Berkeley Catton, who is supposedly a top prospect, but really probably shouldn't have been playing NHL minutes at 19th.

I brought up a few comparables that we're going to get into later, but in my opinion, as a young center breaking into the NHL, if you're not a Macklin Celebrini or a Conor McDavid or Nathan McKinnon, you have to break in with the right line mates.
And especially for somebody like Wright, who plays off the pass, who's not necessarily a dominant skater or puck carrier,

So if Wright is a player who plays off the pass and is looking for his wingers to get him to puck in certain spaces, and he's not getting that, then he's going to be unproductive.
Yeah, well, I mean, Benyar's had a very good rookie season for sure.
He's a player who I would actually compare maybe a little bit to Nick Suzuki in the sense that he's very defensively responsible while being a fairly good offensive player.
His offensive game hasn't really developed.
And I think that's due to a lack of suitable line mates.
When I watch Seattle play, I often see been years doing the right things in the defensive zone in terms of staying low and helping on the breakout.
But he often winds up as almost like a third defenseman.
which is okay if you're Philip Deneau and you're a second or third line center for most of your career.
But for a player of Benir's sort of draft pedigree, maybe it's a little bit disappointing.
