And you look at his history of production, it's not really any better than Wright.
As a fifth overall pick, as a two-way center whose foot speed is not the best,
who hasn't really established himself as a power play one guy, someone is going to give him 10 times seven or something thereabouts.
So, you know, knowing this and knowing how rare sort of these two-way centers hit the market, like you got to find ways to get ahead of that market because you do not want to be 15 teams trying to outbid themselves to get Barrett Hayden next summer.
Yeah, but again, I think that the position that he plays, I think really inflates his price on the marketplace.
And at 26 years old, he's not necessarily very young, whereas Wright is 22.
Four years is a big difference.
But this is the kind of player that every team is going to be in on.
And if there's an opportunity to get a little bit ahead of the market with the players a little bit younger, again, I think it's worthwhile to be aggressive and to take a chance.
So I think Dylan Strom is a great case study here because also in a very early pick, dominant OHL career.
We see seasons of 129 points in Erie, 111, 75 points in 35 games.
So he was a better junior than Shane Wright was in terms of pure production.
But then the downsides of Strom throughout his career is that he's 6'4", but he doesn't really play like he's 6'4".
He plays like a player who's more perimeter,
more of a passer, doesn't really crash the net, more of a finesse player, and also not the fastest skater.
So Arizona gave up on him relatively quickly after selecting him third overall.

a good limited run in the AHL, but then he didn't initially hit the ground running with Arizona, and they were quick to get rid of him to trade him to Chicago.
And what happened with Chicago is, as I mentioned before, as a young centerman who's a good but maybe not great player,
you need to have good line mates.
