And what happened in Chicago was Dylan Strome developed as an NHL-level playmaker because he was playing with Patrick Kane and Alex Dobrynka.
And that was the single best thing to happen to Dylan Strome because Patrick Kane is one of the smartest players in hockey history.
And Alex, the brinket is a guy who, if you find him in space, he's going to put the puck in the net.
Right.
And he didn't have those partners in Arizona, but all of a sudden he did in Chicago.
You know, the, the Blackhawks were sort of up and down in those years.
And, you know, we saw it in, you know, if you look at sort of 2020, 2021, he had a couple of down seasons and then he,
hits the market, goes to Washington, plays with Ovi and Alexei Protas, who are two other wingers that complement his game quite well, establishes himself on power play one when Nick Backstrom retired due to his hip issues.
And this is where he's getting his points.
So in the right situation, I think Shane Wright could follow a very similar career path as Dylan Strom.

Yeah, so history doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes.
So if we go back to Dylan Strom one second, if you had an opportunity as an NHL team to acquire him in his final season with Arizona, where I think he had six points in 20 games and Arizona was about to sell low on him, well, you would absolutely do that, right?
If you have some good wingers to surround him with, and I think it's a very similar situation that we have right now with Shane Wright and Seattle.
Well, when I see Kirby Doc, I see a number of good players that I played alongside when I was growing up, whether it's in minor hockey, whether it's in high school hockey, or low-level juniors.
It's just that Kirby Doc's game never quite matured in a way...
that let's say Nick Suzuki's game did, or even Dylan Strom's game did.
And as a big guy with great hands and good speed and good athleticism, I think he coasted on that a little bit too much in juniors and early in his NHL career.
And he never really developed that shiftiness or that elusiveness or that ability to manipulate his opponents the way that the truly great offensive playmakers did.
