There's going to be another Matthew Kachuk and another Quinn Hughes.

That's why we play and we want to leave USA Hockey in a better place than it was when we first got there.

As a black man, why can't I be the first one in my family to graduate from college?

Why can't it be me?

I was saying this the day of the gold medal.

It's for all the guys that have come before us.

And, you know, all the young kids are going to come after us.

So just like, you know, when I was a kid, I was growing up dreaming of being where I'm at now.

And in 10 years, there's going to be another Austin Matthews.

There's going to be another Matthew Kachuk and another Quinn Hughes.

Honestly, the gold medal is so important for us because we worked so hard to get to that point and

You know, it's for us, but the best part is it's for, like I was saying this, the day of the gold medal.

It's for all the guys that have come before us and, you know, all the young kids that are going to come after us.

This is all about our country right now.

I love the USA.

I love my teammates.

It's unbelievable.

The USA Hockey Brotherhood is so strong, and we have so much support from ex-players.

I'm so proud to be American today.

That's just a ballsy, gutsy win.
