They cannot afford to be patient for a guy and give him ten to fifteen starts to see if he can find his game.

Cause it could mean the difference in home ice advantage in one of the rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

It certainly would seem so, but he's gotta do it at the NHL level and he cannot get off to a slow start and expect to become a meaningful contributor for the Oilers at least this season.

Well, I'm cautiously optimistic about the back end.

I and again, this is not taking away anything from Darnell, but I believe one of his teammates and five other guys are the only guys who were plus thirty with thirty five points last year in the NHL.

Eckholm was one, Ryan Shea was one, and then I think there's five other guys.

There might be four other guys.

Bottom line is it was

A short list.

That's how good of a year he had in Pittsburgh last year.
