So he's basically been offered a very small contract compared to what he would be on now to play one more year and go to the World Cup.
And seemingly he's going to be leaving at the end of the year and going to play in Japan potentially.
So it would be a massive loss.
And it would just be a terrible bit of business.
There's only one year to go to a World Cup.
Ireland do have a few back three options, but he is X factor and he's a point of difference.
He's a real physical winger.
He's a big left boot.
He's been a mainstay in the team in the Andy Farrell era and been really, really good.
His injury profile has been poor over the last 12 months or so, but there's no doubt that he's a brilliant player.
And to let him go a year out to the World Cup just seems...

Yeah, I thought Bill Simmons said it's like the biggest kind of, I suppose, match-up.
He listed like the Celtics-Lakers in 2010 and like the Warriors-Cavs in 2017 and said this is an even bigger one in terms of, I suppose, big personalities or TV markets.
Like you have the New York market, you have Wim Benyam who's become this breakout star.
What we said in the preview, like the Oklahoma City Thunder, as successful as they've been, they don't draw you in the same way that these two teams do.
So I think it's an absolutely brilliant match-up and I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
