yeah I did nice and relaxed lots of sports though I thought this would be a nice relaxing bank holiday obviously there was a Champions League final a few other bits and pieces I planned on watching but then like the Annie Slot News dropping early doors it was like the classic Saturday news dump so no it just never really stopped from when we left on Friday
Yeah, I started by, jeez, I can't remember where I started. It seems like a long time ago. Finished it by watching Irina Sabalenka last night and Naomi Osaka. I love Irina Sabalenka. For some reason, there's something brilliantly expressive about her. And I love the French Open as well. I went to Roland Garros once upon a time, 25 years ago. And it's still, like, you know, sometimes when you've been to a place that not a lot of people have been to, it kind of sticks with you as one of your favourite venues.
We did have a Champions League reaction pod over the weekend and managed to traverse space and time for a quick time capsule check-in with Joey yesterday. Because we recorded that before the Champions Cup final, wasn't it? The 20th of May. He did predict Leinster would lose. 3-0 win for PSG. So... Not so far off the mark on those ones. Yeah. But there's still some good stuff to get to from the weekend just gone. We'll have our final word on some of that. But the glacial turnaround of the latest All-Ireland football draw has given us some fresh meat by way of talking points. Even if the ties served up aren't quite as appetising as they might have been. Kerry versus Dublin. Armagh versus Donegal, etc. And so on.
We'll all have to wait. For those who are away from the wireless this morning, I can give you a quick run through here. So this is All-Ireland Senior Football Championship round two. So this is the sudden death pot. Loser leaves town.
This is the one that everybody's only going to realise is really fundamental the following morning. Exactly. When they're waiting for their county to come out in the next draw and they haven't been called out.
So we have Derry versus Mead. That's a good match-up. It's not going to get you off your seat reading it on a piece of paper, but when it plays out, it'll be a good match. Kildare versus Kerry Kerry off to Newbridge all the provincial winners are away away from home in 2A and 2B I'm sure Jack O'Connor will get a lovely reception in Newbridge obviously left them to win a couple of all-irons with Kerry I knew Kerry were just going to get either Cavanaugh or Kildare I just knew it Speaking of Cavan, they're going to welcome Dublin, more of them shortly. And then Monaghan and Roscommon again, one of these games, when it actually happens, it's going to be interesting to see how it plays out. But these aren't the blockbusters we were kind of hypothetically teasing out before the draw was made.
