Hey, I'm Jackie Mattis.
Like Andy, we're just here to kind of
geek out with some other King fans, let everybody know about King con, what it all entails, you know, tell you how awesome it was last time.
And hopefully we can just continue to make it better.
I've been around in the King community for a short while, primarily starting out as a collector.
But, you know, you meet so many people.
awesome people along the way.
And it just got to the point to where I thought, you know, it would be fun to throw a party.
Let's just throw a little party and get, you know, I don't know, 7,500 people to come and join us and we'll have a good time.
Well, the rest is history.
Um, you know, we announced our ticket sales last October.
or I'm sorry, for the first one in October of 2023.
And I think I don't even remember within the first 48 hours, we sold like 400 tickets.
So yeah, it ended up being a really, really awesome thing.
Again, it went from a place where everybody just goes to get drunk and talking to a formal, like an actual convention where we had special guests, authors, actors, publishers, musicians, and
probably I want to say over 600 constant readers who just came to celebrate and have a good time.
Wow.
You make me sound so irresponsible.
An amazing team of people who all jumped in.
