And what ended up happening is I talked to my agent about it.

My agent told Annie, my future editor, well, Jackie has this other book.

They said, that sounds like a great idea.

Can we read that?

Can we get an exclusive until early January?

Which was fine with us because we weren't planning to go on submission over the holiday season anyway.

And basically what they ended up telling us is, you know, we really liked Jackie's Regency Mystery, but we are all obsessed with this book.

We like it even more.

So would you like to sign a two book deal with us for this book?

And that's what we ended up doing.

So the second book in my deal is going to be a sequel to The Cloak and Dagger Club.

It is with my editor currently, and that'll probably come out sometime in the summer of 2027.

After that, we'll see what happens.

My editor has let me know that if someday I want to revise The Regency Mystery with her, she would be very open to that.

So it's not currently in the works right now, but definitely something that may be pulled out of the drawer in the future.

So in my book, the Cloak and Dagger Club is a crime writers club in 1930s London.

And in my book, I say that they meet at the Marie Antoinette Suite in the Ritz in London, which is a real place.

And the reason that I picked that location is because I went with my father on a trip to London.

We were eating at an Indian restaurant right around the corner from the Ritz.
