Because he had some...
some good things to say about Derek.
I think his, you know, he was younger than Derek at the time, correct?
So which would which can kind of contribute to the kind of that outlook.
But first thing that comes to mind is he talks about how smart how smart he was and have, you know, with the background and working with with inmates and in prisons.
There's a lot of smart people behind bars.
You know, this case, I think, has if you're just looking at the.
you know, the case in headlines and things, it kind of, it's easy to fall into that camp of kind of viewing Derek as, as maybe low IQ, you know, maybe.
And that's, it was interesting to hear from a guy that was like this, this guy was really adept.
Like he, he was, he was sharp, which, you know,
I find that really interesting because we don't get to hear much of him at all outside of just what other people view him as.
And a lot of that was through a whole different language, you know, or at least a dialect.
So that was really interesting to me in that, like, there's depth to this guy.
He's not just a thing.
And I think that's important with this case, especially considering the points that we're talking about where it may seem like law enforcement maybe piled some things on or could have possibly piled some things onto him because it was easier to do it that way.
But this guy's more than just somebody that caught some charges.
So was there anything in that conversation in relation to your mindset when it comes to Derek that you came out of thinking, well, I kind of see him a little bit differently now?
No, I, I, you kind of, I, I, I find it refreshing that you're talking about breaking horses that way.
Cause in the podcast, I, I, I kind of smirked when it happened, but, um, has, as he's talking about the things that Derek would, you know, he'd teach him to do this and that.
