By the way, Mark Addy is the guy who played Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones, which is pretty cool.
You would never think it because there are completely different types of characters, but another actor from Game of Thrones that made it into here was Kit Harington, the guy who played Jon Snow, played one of my favorite performances from book two, and that's Lockhart.
Such an amazing performance as like a big buffoon fraud famous author guy.
So much fun.
And in reading back all of this, the second one, I think might have been my favorite out of the first four.
Yeah, a lot of these characters do have their accents and their personality traits, even their voices, like pretty defined, like Seamus Finnegan is Irish.
Oliver Wood is super Scottish.
I think they actually do mention it at one point.
And so they're very much informed.
You know, Neville is kind of like a forgetful, wispy sounding dude.
Professor Trelawney has a very forlorn voice, I guess.
I love the performance of her too.
yeah the performances are so central to this type of thing and they put a lot of care into it but on the topic of imitation the another character that was not even remotely attempted to do an imitation was snape and the guy who played him um who was it it was riz ahmed
He played Snape and his performance is completely different than Alan Rickman's.
And good luck getting a performance as good as Alan Rickman, like the most iconic performance from the movies.
You're not going to do it justice.
Whoever was given a task to play Snape in these new audiobook editions was cursed to get criticized for it.
I do not want that job.
It's impossible.
And it does come off a little weird.
