Like I was 18 years old or whatever I had to say to keep the girl at the time.

And,

And so eventually we got married.

And as we were going about it, we started talking about having kids.

And we went to some fundraising event where there was a story about a six-year-old adopted boy.

And on the way home, she was like, all right, I want to adopt a six-year-old boy.

I was like, hold on, pump the brakes.

I thought we were having biological first.

So we had to go through a whole conversation about it.

God really worked on my heart to get me to the spot where I was...

I just had to put my we talked about all the time of putting your yes on the table, just like whatever God has for us, like we're going to trust that that's the plan.

And that's what's best for us.

And so we went the adoption route first.

And God brought Emerson into our life.

And she is she's amazing.

She's so fun.

And she's seven years old now.

But we just kind of went into that process with open hands.

All right, God, whatever child you want to place in our lives, like that's going to be the child that you place in our life and self.

uh, she's amazing.
