And from what I've heard, speaking to someone about it about a year ago or so, maybe before the Club World Cup, was that they felt that
Sanchez could do a lot of the things that at the time, yeah, m when Moresca was in charge, that he could do a lot of the things technically that that Moresca wanted him to do.
Uh he was as good as anybody, maybe technically, but perhaps there's just that mental element at times with with goalkeepers that
prevents them, some some of them at the highest level uh uh being able to perform as as maybe they're they're being seen to do on the on the training ground.
I mean, there's a lot of
Chelsea players, I think, who who thought that for example Philip Jorgensen
was actually a really, really good goalkeeper, potentially
elite but you know when when it came to that moment when Rossinha put him in against um against PSG last season in the Champions League he just couldn't handle it and and he froze and it was a disaster and and they ended up losing the game the game five two.
You know if you think if you if you go back through most title winning sides of the Premier League I think it's hard to pick any of them who don't have a great goalkeeper.
Chelsea are the best example of that.
They're
gone from Czech to Courtois and then through to Keppa and and and ever since that that moment they've they've basically not challenged for the title.
Take maybe Manchester United in like the in the post Schmeichel era they they had good goalkeepers but goalkeepers who would just m who were not quite at that elite level who would just make those little mistakes that that would just cause them not to be able to
you know, carry out the challenges to to the full.
And the ultimately l you look at look at Arsenal, the the ruthless decision that they made with um with Aram Ramsdale a couple of years ago where people most people thought this is
He's perfectly fine as Arsenal's number one and Arteta, who's just absolutely ruthless, sees something that's not quite right and and goes for David Breyer.
And and do they win the league without him as the goalkeeper last season, David Bryant?
I'd say given the the massive saves that he makes and key moments, probably not.
And that's probably just this crunch point now that Chelsea are coming to with this with this position.
George, what did you make of Alvaro Albert?
