to a story that I wrote, I want to say around December as well of this past season, November, December, about the Bulls.
And you guys may remember it.
I wrote a story about the Bulls sort of mirroring the Indiana Pacers and how that was sort of their roadmap of playing fast.
And they were talking about maybe we can get our Siakam.
And I would encourage people to read that and read the sentiments of that regime and how they felt
essentially that Tyrese Halliburton, even after going to the finals, was not an A1 star.
And that you could sort of replicate with a bunch of, you know, kind of ensemble casts and B-plus pieces and such.
I just would, you know, you can read the sentiment of Halliburton there and see that.
Yeah.
And again, like, you know, not as a risk of sort of piling on to these guys or sort of one mis-evaluation, because, again, that happens.
You maybe can can draft the wrong guy, have a pick there.
But I think as this piece showed, really, there was a disconnect from the staff.
to the higher-ups there.
And people didn't fear their voices were being heard.
They didn't feel like the entire group opinion was being taken into account.
And it's such a fine line.
I was talking to a friend in the NBA about this as well, where
you know if if this had worked out right like maybe my story is like wow against everybody told him one thing and he went with his gut and it worked out you know and he and we'd be praising sam preston who like this is the next genius and like you know it didn't right and it failed pretty demonstrably and it feels like the other way so you know i think the the the encouraging thing is you guys highlighted with sort of the bryson experience is that and i asked him pretty directly of like
How do you know when everybody is saying one thing and you think another that, you know, you're not wrong?
Like, you know, everybody else is wrong and you're right versus the other way around.
