Now it was in large part was the Scottish National Party and their supporters.
But for example, I went out on uh do you remember the old Green Goddess fire engines?
You know the ones that come out when there are strikes?
Um I think very old fire
Engines, very retro fire engines.
Retro fire engines.
And there was this one at been painted in the the saltire blue, the blue of the Scottish flag.
And it was being driven around.
I I jumped on it for a day when it was going all around the country.
And I d I drove across the fields of Murray up in the north, the northeast of the country, um on it.
And it was handing out the the people on it, the volunteers were handing out leaflets from
lots of different organizations and they didn't necessarily agree with each other, these organizations, but they were all different types of literature in favour of independence.
Because there were various versions that Scotland could be a relatively small, you know, relatively small C conservative nation, or it could be a socialist republic, you know.
And but people were handing these out.
Although I have to say that the person driving the fire engine, in the end, was elected as the Scottish National Party MP in the year that that followed.
This law.
Yeah.
So actually, yeah, say it wasn't the SNP, but actually the guy literally driving that fire engine who was saying this isn't just the SNP ended up being elected for the SNP.
Yeah, and they and they they had they were probably at their height of their power.
Well, Alex Salmon was definitely at the height of his powers.
