Is the line bright?
And the answer is, of course, that it's not bright.
The line is totally murky.
And so I think there are definitely massive contexts in which this is going to be highly useful and highly effective.
It's going to provide good advice for people.
On the other hand, when it comes to
people making decisions about their lives and assessing, you know, basically the support and the strength for various positions and where they're going to go in the future.
And they're going to equate that support in language with support that they're really going to have relationally and materially, then this is distorting.
It's deeply distorting.
Yeah, I think the second.
I think that people are going to, in the same way that marriage as an institution is transformed in some ways over the last multiple centuries, increasingly for many people, it is a way of getting relational services, you know?
And which is, you know, which is associated with marriage dissolution.
And I think that insofar as people come to expect from chatbots what chatbots are offering, then even that emotional and cognitive resonance will become more honest in a sense.
Like they'll understand what it is that they're getting.
