Like we were talking early in the season, me and Tristan about like, man, it feels like you barreled up like a lot of balls, but like they keep dying at the warning track, but
Now they're starting to clear the fence over the course of the season.
He leads the team in doubles.
Like, his speed's pretty good.
Everything he does is, like, unorthodox.
Like, his stance is, like, you know, modeled off of, like, his old raised teammate, Brandon Lowe.
But it's interesting looking.
And I think, like, he gets, like, kind of joked about in the clubhouse.
Like, I think the hitting coach called it, like, the ugliest swing in Major League Baseball.
And he'll laugh about it now.
It's like, obviously, it doesn't matter how it looks.
It's how it works.
One of his nicknames is the Centaur because I think he runs funny where he, like,
a lot but he's clearly a plus runner like look at the way he ran on that triple to complete the cycle the other day it's like a lot of things like you wouldn't look at him and think he can do this but like he's gotten this runway to do it and he's making it happen so like it's very much like the best situation of like like they were very high on Vargas coming into the season like not like hey he's going to make the all-star game but very much like we think these guys are starting third baseman and we're you know not afraid to say it
uh type of thing whereas peters is like yeah he's in the mix and he's coming like now play at this all-star level so um i think it says out of nowhere and one of the refreshing things i like about this white sox front office is how they don't like pretend like they knew what what's gonna happen all the way out like they said like americom he's like why wouldn't we take this risk if he fails we're in the same place we were like it was very much like
yeah, this is a worthwhile shot for a team in our position.
Not like he's awesome and everyone's going to be an idiot when they see what we do with them.
And I think Peters kind of fits into it.
Like, hey, you know, makes good swing decisions, makes contact, plays defense.
It's kind of a profile we should take a chance on.
