Randall Gritchick, like, cleaned up his, like, beard to be, you know, a bit more evil looking, as you mentioned.

But a lot of guys just had stashes, which, you know, for all the 23-year-olds who can't really grow a facial hair, it was like an amusing, definitely a...

clearly all committing to the bit together, whether or not it made them look individually better or worse or not, which is nice.

But then they staggered out of the gate in September in such a way that you've seen the mustaches slowly disappear out of the clubhouse over the last few days.

So that as their rallying cry definitely has gotten pushed aside by the results.

But, you know, Gritchick's been interesting because I think he's spoken to both the

sensing that the team, like the young players were kind of, you know, feeling a little bit, but also like Gritchick's been the one, like in asking him, uh, about why he's thrived here.

Um, feeling like he's kind of free to go out there and like slug and be aggressive and,

Clearly like his time and I I don't he's kind of brought up his time in Toronto in a way where he felt like paralysis by analysis a little bit of where he's getting like graded out for every swing decision in a way and I think like probably the time that Toronto was doing that when he was there.

They're kind of at the forefront to just, you know, forward thinking to even kind of be presenting players this information.

And now we have the benefit of hindsight, like, oh, there's some guys that you don't want to flood with that or not.

But now the White Sox, they're late to the game in terms of getting these players this kind of swing decision information.

But they're coming at it for the first time in a way where there's perspective of other teams that were more aggressive with it, where they can be a bit more balanced with how they presented the guys.

So Gritchick is someone who references Toronto a lot in a way that I wouldn't have expected to hear this season.

But it's interesting if you want to like, you know, go back and think about why the early 2020s Toronto's offense is underperformed.

He could probably give you some takes.

Yeah.

It felt like the breakthrough of that game.
