And that's ultimately been caused by bringing forward the start of the season because of the introduction of Gather Round and then the opening round, which we've had the last few years.
And the mandatory break over Christmas as well.

And that was an AFL thing and a directive.
And to be honest, more so for club staff really than players.
So those things have impacted on what pre-season looks like.
Clearly there's a discussion about when the season starts next year for a variety of factors.
That may extend pre-season because right now what's said is when pre-season starts, not how long it is.
The other thing we know is that the clubs certainly say to us that the players are as well prepared as they've ever been when they come back.
Now there are occasions and there'll be players, outliers that come back in maybe not quite the shape the clubs are hoping for.
Our data says that
I think it's 90% or 95% of players are back doing work, preparing within four weeks of the season ending.
So, yes, they're not at the footy club, but they're doing work.
And then the other thing we know is that there's a really large percentage of players that actually choose to come back early.
We're seeing that more and more.

I don't want to get the numbers wrong, but it is in or around sort of particularly our older players, over half of them, I think, because they're doing the work already.
Their younger teammates are back, so they come in and start doing it with them.
We're relatively comfortable how it sits at the moment, but there's no doubt as we get into the next collective bargaining agreement, there'll be a discussion around what does the season look like with Tassie coming in?
