appreciate very much just the way that he went about it and the professionalism that he showcased and he's such a great teammate, such a great partner in this and uh is pouring right back in, starting out on our practice squad and we'll see how it all unfolds here as we get into the season.
You know what?
It it doesn't matter whether or not I was a part of uh acquiring a player, uh
more time you spend with them, uh, the deeper the connection is.
So yeah, there's a little bit deeper rooted dialogue uh as a part of these conversations.
It's not as surface level as some of them uh may have been a year ago.
Uh but in the same breath, um, you know, that day that we go through those roster reductions, it's really met with uh a wide range of uh conversations.
You got some players who are
really excited and fulfilled with the fact that they earned a fifty-three man roster and others who uh may be facing uh a path coming to an end.
And uh and so vacillating between uh those two ends of the spectrum and everything in between is certainly an interesting dynamic uh to walk through.
Um but can't thank the guys that came through over the course of this off season and training camp enough, those that are still with us and those who are going in a different direction, uh, to get us to a place where we feel good about uh where we are heading into the season.
was still more to be done and I think he went out there and and continued to prove it.
He left no doubt.
Um, I think anybody that was on that sideline in those stands or watching on T V, uh, could feel that.
I think uh he himself uh probably felt that it wasn't shortly thereafter the next morning.
Um
that I walked past him and it was a very brief interaction and all I said was congrats and he said I really appreciate it and all I said was earned and he said, Yeah, I feel that.
And uh you could just sense his confidence uh on the grass that night, uh in the locker room post and that next morning because that's something that we preach and I think uh our players certainly uh are coming to grips with it but when you earn it you're gonna get it and we're not afraid
uh that when that is is something that surfaces to the top to pursue it.
Regardless of where you started, regardless of how much y you make, uh we're trying to win football games and we're gonna do what we feel like's in the best interest of the Jacksonville Jaguars and our team heading into two thousand and twenty six and best eleven are gonna get out there.
