Um, you know, again, people are asking in the chat about DeMar DeRozan.
Um, like, look, he wants to get out of here as soon as possible.
Uh, and I understand that because he wants to go find his next spot as soon as possible.
Um, but there's also this thing that um at the last second
his agent uh held the kings hostage and bumped this final year from like a four million dollar commitment to a ten million dollar commitment because they knew that the kings wanted to run uh DeMar DeRozan out of the California Classic as like this big exciting thing that's happening where they landed DeMar DeRozan.
And now it's like look, the Kings need to do to do what's best for them.
And they've got from what I've heard, like handshake agreement to do right by DeMar DeRozan.
But doing right by DeMar DeRozan can take time.
And you know, the Kings also have to do right by their own franchise.
They're in salary capell, like we keep talking about.
And like realistically, if they can trade DeMar DeRozan.
uh maybe there's a way they can get some sort of value back for him.
And they need to exhaust everything before they actually just wave him and use a stretch provision to cut his salary from 26 million down to 3.3 million.
Um, but I I don't think the Kings are doing anything wrong at this point in letting this play out because there are opportunities out there for again a $26 million expiring contract
that may actually help the kings get better um right now.
And of course they're gonna have to find ways to free up other money.
The the whole Devin Carter trade didn't help that.
I mean it helped a little bit, but not enough to make anything um like to make them fluid here.
Um
So he's gonna have to wait.
