And so they waited and waited and waited and uh they thought PSG would blink and come down on their valuation.
It didn't happen, and so he ended up going to Tottenham.
Uh in the meantime, Juventus signed Jonathan David on a on a free transfer from Lille.
Um but you have this kind of curious case, and it's not just at Juventus, of players that Italian clubs have sent on loans somewhere else, usually to the Premier League, and they have crossed their fingers and hoped the Premier League clubs would buy those players.
And it hasn't happened.

Um and yeah, that's true of yeah, people at Milan like Chuckwaese.
Um it's true of Pavad at Inter.
Um at Juve, you can go back to McKenny going on a loan at Leeds and then coming back and being their best player for the first half of last season and signing a new deal.

Yeah, there are lots and lots of examples which kind of show that I think one of the reasons why some of these leagues are suffering is not only because the Premier League is so much richer than they are, it's because this summer feels like it's different in that Premier League clubs bought from each other rather than buying from from these clubs.
