I'm assuming that's MD in terms of the certification that would be qualifying as a physician.

Now, as it relates to nurse practitioners and physician assistants, they're not MDs and DOs, but they certainly have those same risks.

Is there a policy for those folks?

Now, the downside of these, I think, is if you go out on your own.

And so, for example...

I was a W-2 earner for years.

That was clear math.

But when I went out and started my own business the first few years, it's not as profitable.

And a lot of these policies go back three, five years and do an average income.

How do these policies work?

So I'm a physician.

I step out and do become a chief medical officer at a farmer medical device startup.

I'm mostly probably making high on the equity side, so I've probably taken a haircut, but I'm doing that because I think in the next five or 10 years, I'm going to hit the holy land.

What happens if I get disabled before the holy land comes?

Are there policies to cover that difference or not?

So in my case, it had the corporate W-2.

So I have a high level.

And when I stepped out to do my own thing, I had a three-year trough before I came back up.

So if I get disabled during that time, that was a problem.

According to these, my income is 50% of what it was.
