It's a practical guide to protecting one's most valuable professional asset, overlooked generally until it's too late.
So Aaron, tell me in the audience a little bit about yourself.
So we were talking prior to starting recording my experience with this.
Shout out to Jeff Burbank.
We did a first startup, and I was his VP marketing when flying to Japan.
And he says to me, do you have disability insurance?
I said, of course, I have it through the company.
He said, no, no, but if you want to be entrepreneurial, you anticipate that you want to move around or you maybe want to consult someday, this is something you want to get preferably before 30, definitely before 40.

We have nurse practitioners and we have physician assistants and residents.
And what Jeff said to me,
Which was striking to me.
He said, you know, if I die, a check goes to my family and I move on with that insurance.

What's the motivation of most of the people that you talk to to get into this and at what age?
I also don't think people know there's a dividend to these that reduce the cost over time if you get them early enough, right?
So why don't you start with some horror stories and then we'll go to the good stories.
How does that handle that?
Maybe I'm not making 100% what I was due to my disability, but I can make a third of it by having office visits, right?
And so... Yeah.
