The idea that people could be genuinely fervent about religious belief, I think you're just not exposed to that particular genre of emotion at all in a secular society.
And although I can't say that it resonated with me,
I did understand there was like a sphere of human experience, which I just rarely considered and didn't think about.
And I think some people probably did just need in a way that I don't feel like I do.
So that was strange.
I could kind of see that people wanted it, if that makes sense.
I don't think you're proselytising at all.

So we've just said goodbye to Le Morne.
A few really interesting things, I think, jump out to me from that conversation.
I think the first one is the way that Christianity has changed in the way it appears in people's lives.
I think probably if you're in middle age or older, you've experienced the Christian church as this institutional thing.
You've grown up with it.
You've gone to chapel at school or you've been dragged to church by your parents.
I think it's hard to underestimate how different it probably appears to Christians
people in their 20s, Gen Z, who are probably, I think, almost the first generation in history who are one step removed from religion.
So they're not the first generation of people who become secular.
They have secular parents.
And I think to that generation, it does seem very plausible to me that Christianity, rather than seeming like this,
