I was in a dark place, bro.

Now I'm back and now I'm broke.

It's wise when you rang me up, my wife goes, can't believe you agreed to that.

And I was like, nah, if it inspires one person, I always remember you saying this to me, and I think that every time, as long as we're helping that one person, it makes it all worth it, 100%, you know?

So with FTCs, I always refer to this as quicksand feeling.

Once upon a time, I felt like no matter what I did to move forward, I was always getting pulled that much more down into the quicksand, you know?

And it was a dark place, bro.

Like, honestly, I was ashamed.

I was, some people call it fucking ma.

I was embarrassed to go out in the world.

I talk about the eyes watching me and then I'm,

I was embarrassed, not just for me, but for my family and the way people looked at me because of my family.

And you say I've got rugby, you know, like, as I've said, I've got, you know, some people in my family have done pretty well from, like, you know, where they sit in rugby to all kinds of things.

And, like, I was that guy that was just a bit ashamed of who I was, my bro.

It's the sad thing, bro, and it's exactly what I was doing.

And as much as they tried to help me, I'm not saying they didn't try to help me.

I just was more ashamed of what I'd pull away.

Honestly, sitting in the hospital, bro, I can't think about standing on that roof about to think I'm about to die and my son's going to have to tell everyone that on his birthday his dad died, you know?

That's the truth of it, bro.

I still think about that stage.
