It'll be interesting to see.
I mean, Auston Matthews only did four years on his deal.
And part of the reason he did that was he wasn't sure that he wanted to commit to Toronto's program for eight years.
And the more that guys are willing to bet on themselves, I think we're going to see some people cash in.
And I think you might start to see players sign, say, a two-year deal for a massive cap it for $18 million a year or something like that.
And I think that's going to turn some heads around the league.
And maybe the star players will be like, hey, why wouldn't I want to go to free agency?
Especially with so many teams that are going to have cap space.
I think there could be these bidding wars and it could really change the landscape around the league.
