Yes, it has.
So Fatima Bosch Fernandez, the 25-year-old from Mexico, was crowned Miss Universe in Bangkok.
And it was like a fairly dramatic, I suppose, overall experience.
Back at the beginning of November, we actually discussed the last time I was on, during a live streamed ceremony, the national director scolded Bosch for allegedly kind of missing promotional shoots or not participating in something.
called her a famously called her a dumb head um and she made a sort of a vita peron worthy kind of speech to the media about kind of how like women need to be respected in these spaces are meant to be building women up and not a place where they can be and that led to uh firings and and sort of you know kind of evaluations of of the public tears public tears exactly um and so the answer to that to kind of like a reappraisal maybe some of the things it is but anyway um
The ceremony has now taken place and Fatima has won.
Congratulations to her.

And apparently there's been rigging, there's been rigor moris accusations made.

Omar Harfouk, a Lebanese French composer, was the first to step down of the panel.
And on Tuesday, last Tuesday on his Instagram, he said that there had been a secret vote by people not of the official jury to preselect the 30 contestants out of the 136.
and said, I was misled and publicly used to give credibility to an election process that was already compromised.
Adding that members of the unofficial group had romantic relationships with one of the contestants.
Oh, my God.
And French soccer star Claude Malecki also stepped down citing unforeseen personal circumstances, saying that it was that he holds Miss Universe in the highest regard but couldn't continue on in it.
