Hello, my friend, and welcome to Catch Up with the Louise Maksari. This is the podcast where I do my best to keep you caught up with what's going on in the world, guys. On a Monday, we talk news, on Wednesday, entertainment, and on Friday I chat to someone interesting with an interesting perspective. My friends, it is entertainment day and there is a lot to discuss. We might as well get straight into it with James O'Hagan. Good morning, James O'Hagan. How lovely to chat to you. I gather you're in your country retreat.
I am. I'm living my my um my my my my rural era at the moment. I'm out here actually minding my parents are away this week uh visiting my brother over in Scotland. So I'm sort of out here kind of looking after the the various assembled rescue animals 'cause my parents have like a lot of we have about Twenty or thirty rescue hens. We have a couple of old uh old horses that sort of are retired out here, some cats all to l to look after. So I'm I'm out here kind of reviving myself, feeling good about myself.
I mean it sounds kind of idyllic.
It is. You know what? It it is today with a beautiful blue sky and with like stunning ice weather. Yesterday when I had to trudge over in the rainstorm to like give the the chickens their dinner, I was like, you know what, this isn't for me, bring me back to Dublin.
Oh, I know. I had such a bad day yesterday. I like definitely like my period is coming and I just could feel myself sinking in the morgue as Damian Dempsey would say. I just was like in such a failure in general. Just felt everything felt off yesterday and the rain just compounded the situation. And then yes, I at the end of yesterday I was like, No, tomorrow now you need to head into it with a different attitude. different kind of approach to the day. And when I woke up and saw the blue sky, I was like, thank you.
Like, yeah, I can do it. I can do it today.
We can do this. We are going to get through this.

okay, well look, we've got lots of entertainment stories to get into. And I, you know, the first one came as quite a surprise to me actually. This is the announcement that Amelia de Moldenberg is ending chicken shop date.
I have to say it didn't come as an enormous surprise to me because I just felt like the not that like I I think Amelia de Mulderberg is phenomenal, so funny, and like has been really like obviously like moving into that kind of like red carpet, the kind of like some of the space that's been left by by uh by Joan Rivers. uh over the last like it's been stepping into that space and like it's so good in that way and I have felt that like the that kind of the the format of chicken shop date was getting a little tired. You know, it was kind of running over the same. And this is only my opinion. I I and I do think that it like she was still holding her own and she was still extremely funny. But I wasn't necessarily surprised to see that she had decided to to step uh to to step away from it.
Um but yeah, so I mean this was an absolute like it became sort of one of those like must do stops on any press tour over the last couple of years was this kind of like uh fake dating i in in a chicken shop that Amelia's what we're gonna be doing for for for since she was eighteen, which I think is like sixteen years ago. Um like I did like she was doing it for for for for many, many, many years and sort of it had started out As something kind of a bit more rough and ready, with sort of I I think it was like rappers and and and hip hop and grime arches from around London kind of just like coming on with her, but a groan to get like international A-list stars. I think most people uh will have remembered kind of the I think the the one that stands out to me for sure is the um the the the ones with with Andrew Garfield, where there really was a sense of like
Are are these are these guys gonna hook up? Is this turning into something? Yeah um similar with H,
the rapper from Manchester, and then there were like rumors that they actually were together for a while. I think that that was all spoof reading.
