knew and understood what the performance of the support act is gonna be.

So any atheist notion that sort of like poor Ed sitting in the corner, like honestly, I I I cannot be having that.

Um yeah, so absolutely ridiculous.

So um during um during a performance, a video has has has come has sort of like I has gone viral from a performance where he chanted uh free Palestine

spoke about the fact that he has a a daughter and that he wants his daughter to be able to grow up safe and and and free in the world to like live live her her life uh and wants every human being walking on her to deserve the exact same freedom that he and and his his daughter uh would would uh would would would have.

He he speaks about sort of how his message is one of one of peace and love for all human beings to be to be uh treated uh equally and in addition to kind of

calling attention to to to the atrocities on the the genocide ongoing in in in in Palestine.

He also uh spoke about the need for for for freedom for the people in Cuba, Congo, Sudan and Iran and describes US immigration and customs enforcement as a terrorist organization.

So like, you know, th this was a sort of a whistle stop tour of sort of a lot of the ills of the world.

And I think he y we are in a place where we need people who are brave enough to step up against what they know is going to be a non-slot in a backlash to actually say these things because it empowers people who may be thinking it in their own life but afraid to say it because of the tactics that are used against people who speak out to actually be able to feel freer to say, Well actually

this does appear like hypocrisy that you are kind of, you know, jumping in to tell me that sort of me having having a sense of of of of sadness or or disgust at the way in which I'm seeing sort of the the the hundreds of thousands of people in in in in Gaza being uh be being treated as somehow sort of like anti Semitic or somehow sort of, you know, kind of you know it it it's it's sometimes unfair or or not not to be be allowed.

Or that that any sort of

criticism of of of Israel is is sort of, you know, absolutely just necessarily a uh sort of a sort of uh a criticism of of all of the Jewish people.

And he did at uh in his sort of in the the the the the piece where he was speaking about this, he did at McAmore directly addressed his Jewish fans and said criticism of Israel, criticism of tar of of apartheid

uh and being against genocide is in no way a criticism of you.

So kind of really kind of adding to that refrain that's ongoing at the moment that

A criticism of Israel, a criticism of genocide, a criticism of the a actions of an an uh of an apartheid state is not the same as anti Semitism and is not a criticism of Jewish people, that those things are not one and the same.

And actually the people who are doing the most damage are the people that are trying to kind of

bind Jewishness and Zionism and the state of Israel into one sort of singular nebulous blob that is just the same thing, that puts more people in danger and creates a sort of a a a very dangerous and an an a narrative that I just think is
