I do think there is a thing that people don't realise how much food waste they generate.
And definitely we have seen that time and time again where I put out a post saying...
you know, it's great that food waste has come in and people go, well, I don't have any food waste.
And then you start saying, well, what do you do with your eggshells?
What do you do with your bones?
And, oh, I don't think of that as food waste.
You know, it's all part of the food waste story.
And so, yeah, it's just, I love that stat so much that on average, people just think they're better.
I should have printed out and been like, what do you think now?
It was like...
yeah it's terrible so let's talk about fridges and it's not that was very alan partridge that was so good that was amazing
Let's talk about fridges.
What they do is they make it possible to buy more than we can see and to buy more than we can remember or realistically eat.
Well, there's a couple of things that have happened.
So the simple answer is that deep shelves and drawers are causing a problem.
Fridges have got deeper over time and bigger.
And I actually thought we were moving more to like American-style fridges as a nation, but I'm not sure that's true.
Double door type thing.
Yeah, and I was asking Emma that question, but she said, well, the trouble is a lot of our houses, well, not the trouble, the good thing is a lot of our houses have like a fixed width for the fridge.
So unless you're removing your whole kitchen and redesigning it, most people can't go for those double bigger fridges.
