But we were sort of too young to know.
I had long hair and a motorcycle and tattoos, and she was blonde with big boobs.
What more could you want?
That's all you needed for life to be perfect.
And at the age of 19, that made sense.
But eventually we figured out that was kind of all we had in common.
You know, and she's my ex-wife is still one of my favorite people.
She's been remarried for 15 years.
We had to spend some time together.
Our oldest son got married a few months ago and I loved spending time with her.
I love spending time with her husband.
There are a lot of people I love I wouldn't want to be married to.
Actually, all of them.
All of them.
You know, like there's love and marriage, you know, are two very different kinds of relationships necessarily.
And I don't know that there's always a positive correlation between the two.
But I...
I certainly learned a bit from my own divorce about how even the friendliest divorce and we had an incredibly friendly one and we had a really friendly co-parenting relationship.
I mean, our kids were five and seven when we got divorced and we co-parented really, really well through adulthood.
But it still was painful.
