There's an element of grief happening that people don't look at.
So
Things change in marriages all the time.
We talked about this last time.
How I said one of the two biggest mistakes people make is thinking, Oh, nothing's ever gonna change.
Things are so great, we're getting married and everything will stay the same now because marriage is gonna be the moat we dig around this relationship that protects it from the world and the slings and hours of outrageous fortune.
And then the other mistake they make is saying, oh no, like this person will change.
Like they drink too much now, but now that we get married, they're gonna get it together.
Or, oh no, this person's like really inattentive, but once we're married, they're really gonna pay attention to me.
Or they have a wandering eye, but no, once we get married, they won't have a wandering eye anymore.
So these are two mistakes that seem like opposites, but they're both legitimate mistakes.
Now the truth is, I do think sometimes change happens, right?
