You know, I was a smoker early in my life.
You know, I quit 20 plus years ago, maybe 30 now.
And I remember people used to be like, oh, cigarettes will kill you, you know, they'll kill you.
And I remember being like, okay, like, you know, it's going to take, like, oh, smoking takes 20 years off your life.
I'm like, right, the last 20.
Like the adult diaper wearing years.
Like, I didn't really want them.
It's fine.
Like, I'm enjoying this right now.
What got me to quit smoking was the things I loved more than smoking that I couldn't really do.
I loved to exercise and I couldn't exercise as well.
I loved the taste of good food and green tea.
I couldn't even taste green tea because my taste buds had been so burned out by cigarettes.
And I quit and I was like, yeah, it's not, it wasn't that like, oh no, the threat of someday I'll die from it.
I'm gonna die someday anyway.
It was that, no, my life would be better
If what I want now, which is another cigarette, if what I want most, which is to feel good and be able to run and exercise and taste good food and taste subtle flavors that I can't want to burn out.
So again, it's the same thing.
What do we want most?
We want to love.
