That's no good.
But there's been a lot of pre-talk World Cup that this is just a giant money grab.
FIFA, which organises the games, they've increased the number of teams from 32 to 46, increased the number of matches from 64 to 104, taken most of the games to the big stadiums in the US and jacked up ticket prices.
Can you blame them for doing it?
I mean, they're expected to make about US $10 billion in revenue.
Is this just the reality of sport in 2026?
I think it is.
I mean, these events become bigger and bigger, and the revenue generation becomes bigger and bigger, and the number of people who are in there to clip the ticket becomes bigger and bigger.
Now, you know, everybody sort of says, oh, FIFA's doing this.
But all that, well, a good portion of that money flows down through the game to country football associations, including the Football Federation of Australia, or Football Australia as it's now known.
So everyone's going to have their fingers in the pie trying to get a cut here.
The increase in the teams from 32 to 46 is the real bit that gets me.
